Volunteer in a rewarding way!
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Star Maker and bringing Thank You’s to so many in a simple by meaningful way.
We have created a Star Maker Star-ter kit that will provide you with all the information you need to start making and sending Stars yourself all for a small donation of $15. If you would like a Star-er Kit, please make your donation AFTER you have filled out the registration form. The kit includes a bag of 10 Stars, 2 washed cantons, 100 pouches, and 5 “Stars For Our Troops” business cards. You will also receive an email with instructions on how to properly process the flag, the notes to print and cut to include with the Stars, marketing material to help continue collecting flags and educate others, and thank you card templates that can be included in your packages. We ask for a donation of $15 for the Star-ter kit to allow us to cover necessary supplies and postage. You do not have to order a Star-ter kit if you have handled the processing of a flag before, we can just email over the instruction information so you can get started.
Due to high demand, only one kit is available to each person or organization interested in becoming a new Star Maker.
After you use the supplies from the Star-ter kit, it is your responsibility to collect flags, purchase pouches, print notes, and the SHARE your Stars!
We will contact you after you have been a Star Maker for 3 full months to see how you are doing on your new journey. We reach out to all Star Makers every January to get input on projects, find out how many stars you have shared, and share stories and goals for the new year! If you have any questions before then, please reach out via email.

Interested in hosting a Star Party?
If your facility is interested in hosting a monthly Star Party, we’d love to talk to you! If you are located within 1 hour of Troy in the NYS Capital District, a Star Maker bring supplies to help your group get started. If you are located outside of this area don’t worry, we can help you prepare to lead your own Star Parties over the phone and through email.
